Expansion requires space

Expansion needs space

One of the reasons why we struggle to expand is that we are exhausted. We have filled our lives to the brim with demands we have no business catering too.

As Black girls, we are raised to extol virtues such as kindness, hard-work (in service to others) and self sacrifice. We are raised to be nice, good girls; not capable leaders (I digress).

As a result we can use our busyness, our helpfulness to feel valuable. This often leaves us so depleted that there isn’t space for expansion.

One of the ways you can prepare yourself for the next level is to clear out your diary, say no! more often. Extract yourself from activities that give you external validation so you can build your own.

Create space, space to fill your cup, to invest in your own growth, space for what is to come.

What needs to go in order to create space for what is to come?
