In your quest of advancing to the next level of leadership, income and impact strategy and tactics are important.
You do need to craft a strategy of how you are going to create your next position or initiate a promotion and salary increase discussion, you do need a strategy on how to lead up, down and across, etc. Those things are important.
However, the reason why most women are not implementing those tactics, why they are choosing the wrong tactics to implement, or are trying to implement the right tactics at the wrong place or time, or why those tactics are not working for them yet, is that they haven’t yet fully embodied the person who can confidently and with congruence implement those tactics.
And if they push through because we are motivating them or daring them or ‘holding them accountable’ they will often fail because they are trying to convince someone else of their value and worthiness when they are not convinced of it themselves.
I’m not a big believer in giving my clients tactics, I am not saying I never suggest them, but that’s not the focus of my strategy as a Coach .
I believe that everyone has access to the wisdom of their intuition and when they learn to tap into it, they will always know what the next step to take is.
What is often the missing ingredient is the alignment, the embodiment, the owning up of their worthiness and competence for the next level.
Instead of seeking to convince others of your worth and your deserving. Ensure that you are first convinced of it yourself, so that whatever the outcome, irrespective of whether they agree with you or not, it will not move you from your knowing.
