Trying to prove your worth, are you?

Trying to prove your worth, are you?

Anyone who has attempted a long term project like studying for a degree that you don’t really need for survival knows that your why is important. Your why will is what will sustain you when you feel like giving up.

The problem is when our why is tied to our sense of worth. That if you do this you will finally be taken seriously or to prove someone who hurt you that they were wrong about you or to please someone. These reasons can certainly get you to the finish line.

The problem is that those accomplishments don’t resolve self worth issues. They can hide them or distract from them but they are still there and they will attract after their own kind. Worth is our birthright, we don’t achieve it we reclaim it.

The questions regarding that which you are currently pursuing is; it for growth and expansion or are you trying to prove you worth?
